Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif says government is committed to providing genuine support to all the export sectors including textile, leather, and sports to help increase the country's export volume.
He was addressing the inaugural ceremony of 4th international Textile and Leather exhibition at EXPO center in Karachi on Friday.
He lauded the industrialists, who despite the challenges and difficulties have contributed immensely in promoting Pakistan's textile and leather industry.
Shehbaz Sharif said the textile sector constituted sixty percent of total exports while forty percent labour force was absorbed in this sector and hence all out support will be provided to boost this sector.
The Prime Minister said Pakistan is committed to follow and implement all the requirements of international organizations like the International Labour Organization.
Welcoming the foreign delegates, Shehbaz Sharif said he was happy to learn that over four hundred foreign delegates from sixty countries are visiting the exhibition that depicted Pakistan as a valuable destination for foreign guests, buyers, and traders.
Speaking on the occasion, Federal Minister for Commerce Minister Syed Naveed Qamar stressed need to provide more incentives to the exporters to boost the exports of the country.
