Minister for National Food Security and Research, Rana Tanveer Hussain has directed stronger monitoring to ensure price stability and the availability of wheat in the market

Talking to a private TV channel, he called the recent fixation of wheat prices a balanced approach aimed at supporting farmers and boosting domestic production.

The minister expressed optimism that farmers would respond positively to the support price by increasing wheat cultivation and investing in agricultural inputs.

He said all stakeholders endorsed the current price fixation, as farmers had faced mounting production costs over the past two years.
