Minister for Kashmir Affairs and Gilgit-Baltistan Engineer Amir Muqam has expressed the resolve that all promises made by the PML-N leadership with people of Azad Kashmir will be materialized.

He was addressing a news conference along with PML-N leaders Zahid Khan and Samar Bilour in Islamabad today.

Engineer Amir Muqam said all phases of peaceful transfer of power in Azad Kashmir have completed now following the oath taking of new President of Azad Jammu and Kashmir.

He lauded the people of Azad Kashmir for electing the new government with the power of their vote saying that the Kashmiri people supported democratic process instead of disturbance and chaos.

He also appreciated the law enforcement agencies for ensuring the holding of elections in a peaceful manner in Azad Kashmir.

Engineer Amir Muqam said practical work has been initiated on development projects in Azad Kashmir including establishment of five Daanish Schools at a cost of five billion rupees.

The Minister for Kashmir Affairs said protests and sit-ins never yield any results. He appealed to the people of Kashmir particularly of Rawalakot to shun politics of protests and sit-ins and engage in dialogue process to resolve their issues in a peaceful manner. He said the Federation was and will always be with the people of Azad Kashmir.

Turning to the prevailing situation arising out due to long march call by PTI, Engineer Amir Muqam severely criticized the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government for its complete failure in launching any mega project for development and prosperity of the people.

He said the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government remains only focused on protests, sit-ins and long marches and it did nothing for its people. He further said the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa should hold the PTI leaders accountable for this failure.

Engineer Amir Muqam appealed to the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa not pay any heed to the long march call by the PTI leaders and stay away from politics of protests.
