Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar met President of the 81st Session of the United Nations General Assembly, Dr. Khalilur Rahman, on the sidelines of United Nations General Assembly's 81st in New York today.

During the meeting, the Deputy Prime Minister congratulated Dr. Khalilur Rahman on assuming the Presidency and assured him of Pakistan's support and constructive engagement.

Both sides reaffirmed Pakistan's commitment to multilateralism and the central role of the United Nations.

They exchanged views on matters of mutual interest.

The Deputy Prime Minister expressed confidence in the President of the General Assembly leadership. He assured Pakistan's continued engagement in advancing the work of the General Assembly.

Meanwhile, Deputy Prime Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar met with Minister of Foreign Affairs, Trade and Barbuda Affairs of Antigua and Barbuda E.P. Chet Greene, on the sidelines of the 81st Session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York.

The two sides held cordial discussions on bilateral relations and expressed a shared desire to further strengthen ties and expand mutually beneficial cooperation, including in education, diplomatic training, and other areas of mutual interest.

They also discussed cooperation at multilateral fora, particularly within the Commonwealth and the United Nations.
