Pakistan and Benin have reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthening bilateral relations, particularly in economic and trade cooperation.

This commitment was expressed at a meeting between Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar and Benin’s Foreign Minister Corinne Amori Brunet on the sidelines of the 81st UNGA in New York.

The two sides also exchanged views on matters of mutual interest.

On the occasion, the two Ministers signed a Memorandum of Understanding on the Establishment of Bilateral Political Consultations between Pakistan and Benin.

The MoU is aimed at institutionalizing a framework for regular dialogue and consultations between the two countries.
