Political experts and analysts have says independent journalism is facing state repression in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir and Modi  is busy in tightening his grip on media.

According to Kashmir Media Service, the political experts and analysts in their interviews and statements in Srinagar said the Modi regime is using different intimidating tactics to harass journalists in IIOJK and India.

They said Modi regime is trampling basic principles of press freedom as journalists are threatened and abused on social media by the Hindutva brigade for exposing the Modi government’s failures.

They further said journalists are booked under draconian laws, Public Safety Act and Armed Forces Special Powers Act for speaking truth in IIOJK.
