In Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the All Parties Hurriyat Conference has expressed grave concern over the ongoing Indian crackdown, describing the arrest of more than three thousand Kashmiris and the demolition of residential houses as the worst form of state terrorism.

According to Kashmir Media Service, APHC spokesman Advocate Abdul Rashid Minhas, in a statement issued in Srinagar, said the sweeping crackdown launched across the Kashmir Valley following the killing of a police constable by unidentified gunmen constitutes a blatant violation of human rights.

The APHC urged the international community to take notice of India's colonial policies and expansionist designs, press New Delhi to end its repressive actions in the occupied territory and to facilitate a peaceful resolution of the Kashmir dispute.

Meanwhile, Indian forces launched search operations in Samba and Kathua districts of the Jammu region. 

In another development, Indian police filed a charge-sheet before a National Investigation Agency court in Srinagar in a 16-year-old fabricated case against illegally detained former President of the High Court Bar Association, Mian Abdul Qayoom, former Vice President Advocate Aijaz Bedar, Advocate G.N. Shaheen and late Advocate Bilal Ahmad Butt. The charges were framed under the draconian Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act and the Indian Penal Code.

Separately, Awami Ittehad Party chief and Member of the Indian Parliament from Baramulla, Engineer Rashid, staged a strong protest in the Lok Sabha against the mass detentions and demolition of houses in IIOJK, raising slogans against the ongoing repression.
