India and China have underlined the need of immediate ceasefire and return of diplomacy for peaceful solution to the Ukraine conflict.

The resolve was expressed during high-level talks between Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi and his Indian counterpart Subrahmanyam Jaishankar in New Delhi.

The two foreign ministers discussed matters pertaining to standoff along the India-China border and the war in Ukraine.
