Pakistan has called for an immediate cessation of violence in Sudan.

The remarks were made by Acting Permanent Representative of Pakistan to the UN Usman Jadoon while speaking at the 20th Annual Joint Consultative Meeting between the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) and the African Union Peace and Security Council (AUPSC) on Sudan.

The Ambassador stressed that the country’s sovereignty, unity and territorial integrity must remain the foundation of international engagement.
