Eight Khwarij belonging to Indian Proxy, Fitna al Khwarij, were killed in an intelligence based operation in Tank district on Friday. 

According to ISPR, the security forces conducted the operation on the reported presence of these terrorists and after an intense fire exchange, the Indian sponsored Khwarij were sent to hell.

Weapons and ammunition were also recovered from the killed Khwarij, who remained actively involved in numerous terrorist activities against the Security Forces and Law Enforcement Agencies as well as killing of innocent civilians.

Sanitization operation is being conducted to eliminate any other Indian sponsored Kharji found in the area.

A relentless Counter Terrorism campaign under vision "Azm-e-Istehkam," as approved by Federal Apex Committee on National Action Plan, by Security Forces and Law Enforcement Agencies of Pakistan will continue at full pace to wipe out the menace of foreign sponsored and supported terrorism from the country.

President Asif Ali Zardari has lauded the security forces for their successful operation against terrorists in Tank.

In a statement, he said the nation stands shoulder to shoulder with its security forces in the fight to eliminate the scourge of terrorism.

The President reaffirmed his full support for the campaign "Azm-e-Istehkam" against terrorism.

He emphasized that terrorists operating under Indian patronage are enemies of Pakistan’s peace and stability.

Asif Ali Zardari expressed the confidence that the sacrifices made for the peace and stability of the homeland will not go in vain. He paid rich tribute to the martyrs and expressed heartfelt condolences to their families.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has also lauded the security forces for neutralizing eight Indian-backed militants during a security operation in District Tank.

In a statement, he expressed confidence that the professional excellence of Pakistan’s security forces will lead to the complete elimination of terrorism from the country.

The Prime Minister affirmed that the nefarious designs of elements seeking to undermine Pakistan’s integrity will be decisively thwarted.

He reiterated the government's unwavering commitment to eliminating terrorism from Pakistan.
