Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb met with the Chair of the US Export-Import Bank, John Jovanovich in New York.

The meeting discussed financing opportunities for procurement of aircraft for Pakistan International Airlines, refinery upgrades and the Reko Diq mining project.

The Finance Minister outlined Pakistan International Airlines’ interest in Boeing aircraft, particularly 787 Dreamliners and sought support for a financing package covering aircraft and engines.

On Reko Diq, the Finance Minister emphasized the project’s importance to Pakistan’s future exports and welcomed US EXIM Bank’s continued commitment to the project.
