The 17th death anniversary of renowned radio, television, and film artist Jamshed Ansari was observed today.

Jamshed Ansari played memorable role in the longest running programme of Radio Pakistan 'Hamid Mian Kay Haan'.

The programme became an instant hit and remained popular for more than four decades. Jamshed Ansari also played memorable roles in TV, stage slays and film.  

His acting in popular PTV drama serials Uncle Urfi, Un-Kahi, Tanhayan and others earned him much fame in the country and abroad.

He also played light roles in films Pakeeza, Ajj Diyaan Kuryaan and Saughaat among others.

He died of brain tumour in 2005.
