Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has strongly condemned the terrorist attack on Excise officials in Kohat.

In a statement today, he expressed deep grief and sorrow over the martyrdom of Sub-Inspector Sajjad-ul-Islam and Customs Constable Jawad in the incident.

The Prime Minister commiserated with the bereaved families and prayed for the higher ranks of the martyrs in heaven.

He also prayed for the early recovery of the officials injured in the attack.

Shehbaz Sharif directed the relevant authorities to identify those responsible for the attack and ensure that they are brought to justice.

He reaffirmed the government's resolve to continue the fight against terrorism until the menace is eradicated from the country. He said anti-state elements will not be allowed to disrupt the country's peace under any circumstances.
