President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif have strongly condemned the terrorist attack on government officials in Kohat.

In their statements today, they prayed for the elevation of the ranks of the officials martyred in the attack and for patience and strength for their bereaved families.

The President said the entire nation remains steadfast and united in its resolve against terrorism.

In his statement, the Prime Minister expressed deep grief and sorrow over the martyrdom of Sub-Inspector Sajjad-ul-Islam and Customs Constable Jawad in the act of terror in Kohat.

He directed the relevant authorities to identify those responsible for the attack and ensure that they are brought to justice.
