A member of the British Parliament from the Conservative Party, Paul Bristow has called for giving the Kashmiri people their right to self-determination to end the decades-old dispute.

While expressing his concern about the ongoing Kashmir conflict in the south Asian region, he said Kashmir has been a disputed territory since 1947.

Referring to the G20 Tourism Working Group meeting hosted by the Indian government in Srinagar, he said, he think this is the perfect time for the British government to raise issues of human rights abuses and self-determination for the Kashmiri people.
