US President Donald Trump says he will sign peace deal with the Afghan Taliban after seeing how the seven-day partial truce with the group works out. 

He was talking to newsmen in Washington before his departure for India.            

The seven day 'reduction in violence' truce took effect on Saturday across Afghanistan where all parties agreed not to launch offensive for a week. 

The intra Afghan peace talks will begin within two weeks of the signing of the US-Taliban deal.
