Defence Minister Pervez Khattak has said due to prudent economic policies 5.37 percent GDP has been achieved which reflects the country's economy is going in the right direction.

Addressing a Workers’ Convention in Timergara on Monday, he said that inflation is a global phenomenon which has hit many rich countries including Pakistan.

Pervez Khattak said that the Sehat Insaf card scheme, interest free loans and youth programs are the achievements of PTI government.

Talking about the second phase of local government elections in the province, the Defence Minister said Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf will fully ensure participation of women in upcoming LG elections, particularly in district Dir.
