In Afghanistan, thirty eight Taliban have been killed and thirteen others injured in an operation of security forces in Kandahar province.

According to Afghan Defence Ministry, two hideouts of the insurgents and a number of arms and ammunition including 17 anti-vehicle and anti-personnel mines had also been discovered and defused.
