Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has approved a fine of fifty thousand rupees for throwing animal waste and offal in the streets and neighbourhoods during Eid-ul-Azha.

The Chief Minister gave the approval while chairing a meeting in Lahore today.

Maryam Nawaz directed the authorities to launch a comprehensive public awareness campaign to discourage people from disposing of animal remains in prohibited places.

She also directed special cleaning and monitoring of drains, canals and other public places in every city.
