Pakistan has taken a significant step towards climate response by launching Space4Climate Initiative designed to identify and assess climate-induced hazards, including floods, droughts, heatwaves, sea-level rise, and glacial lake outburst floods.

Launched by Pakistan Space and Upper Atmosphere Research Commission, this digital platform, with a GeoAI-enabled Climate Observatory enables real-time monitoring of key environmental indicators.

By integrating satellite observations with on-ground data, the Space4Climate Initiative is expected to strengthen evidence-based policymaking and support sustainable development efforts.
