Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has said Pakistan greatly values its longstanding friendship with Kenya, an important partner in Africa, and remains committed to taking bilateral relations to new heights.

He said this in a post on social media platform X today, after meeting President of Kenya William Samoei Ruto on the sidelines of the 81st Session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York today.

The Prime Minister said during our warm and productive exchange, the two sides agreed to further deepen Pakistan and Kenya’s bilateral cooperation, particularly in trade, investment, agriculture, pharmaceuticals, education and defence.

The Prime Minister also appreciated President Ruto's encouraging words for Pakistan's mediation efforts for peace in West Asia and the Gulf region.
