Six terrorists were killed and nine suspected individuals were arrested during an intelligence-based operation by security forces in Saran Tangi area of Balochistan under Operation Shaban-2.

According to security sources, the operation was conducted against terrorists of Fitna al-Hindustan on the basis of intelligence information.

A large cache of ammunition and weapons was also recovered from the possession of the killed terrorists.

Security forces are continuing operations against terrorists in the area, which will continue until the last terrorist is eliminated.

President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif have commended the security forces for killing six terrorists belonging to Fitna al-Hindustan during a successful operation in Saran Tangi area of Balochistan.

In their separate statements today, they said the security forces, through their bravery and professional expertise, foiled the nefarious designs of the terrorists.

Both the President and the Prime Minister expressed their resolve to continue the fight against terrorism until its complete elimination from the country.
