South Korea to dismantle some outposts along border with N Korea
August 22, 2018

South Korea plans to dismantle some outposts along the fortified border with North Korea, despite the risks.

Talking to reporters in Seol, the top commander of U.S. troops in South Korea, Vincent Brooks said the move represents a good opportunity to reduce tensions.

He said US troops are finding other ways to maintain readiness in the absence of major military drills, which were canceled by President Donald Trump as part of a deal with North Korea’s leader Kim Jong Un.
