Indian government has asked social media platform X to suspend all accounts linked with or promoting the ongoing protest of farmers.

Expressing its disapproval of the Modi government's order, the platform in a statement strongly reproached the curtailing of freedom of expression in India.

Meanwhile, legislator of India's main opposition party Congress Jairam Ramesh termed the order as 'murder of democracy in India'.                      

The platforms like Google, Facebook and X have to face severe backlash from Indian government for their freedom of expression policy.
