
Gilgit-Baltistan Legislative Assembly, which met in Gilgit on Tuesday, approved two resolutions unanimously.
In the first resolution, the house demanded appointment of employees against vacant posts in Gilgit Baltistan Council from Gilgit Baltistan and re-advertise the posts.
The resolution was tabled by Parliamentary Secretary Aurangzeb Khan.
In another resolution the Legislative Assembly demanded construction Mortuary Houses in all district Headquarter Hospitals in GB. In a call attention notice Deputy Speaker Jafarullah Khan requested grade one to four jobs to those land owners who provide land for development projects.
Speaker giving ruling on the matter directed cabinet members to device policy in this regard.
Replying to a question Minister Local Government Farman Ali said machinery has been purchased to ensure cleanliness of two historic water channels in Gilgit.
Minister Food Muhammad Shafique said there is no shortage of wheat in GB and all areas are getting their allocated quota wheat properly.
Minister Muhammad Ibrahim Sanai said efforts of Chief Minister are underway for setting up of female campus in Karakorum International University.
Speaker appreciated role of Minister Works Muhammad Iqbal and Parliamentary Secretary Aurangzeb during strike on tax.
