Minister for Communications Abdul Aleem Khan has expressed his resolve to transform the National Highway Authority into a self-sustaining entity.

He expressed this commitment while co-chairing a high-level meeting along with Advisor to the Prime Minister on Privatization, Muhammad Ali, in Islamabad today.

The Minister said a financially autonomous NHA will lessen reliance on federal Public Sector Development Programme funding.

During the meeting, participants also evaluated the financial feasibility and commercial prospects of various highway networks for prospective private sector engagement.

Advisor to the Prime Minister on Privatization, Muhammad Ali, assured full support and facilitation for the initiatives.
