Iran has expressed deep appreciation for Pakistan's continuous efforts aimed at promoting peace and stability across the region.

The appreciation was conveyed by Iranian Interior Minister Eskandar Momeni to his Pakistani counterpart Mohsin Naqvi during a meeting in Tehran today.

The Iranian Interior Minister thanked Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir for their efforts towards regional peace and stability.

During the meeting, discussions were also held on bilateral relations and the latest regional situation.

The meeting reviewed the progress of ongoing cooperation across various sectors between the interior ministries of both countries.

In his remarks, Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi reaffirmed the resolve that bilateral relations will be further strengthened in future.
