Caretaker Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Syed Arshad Hussain Shah says local governments’ representatives have an important role in solving the problems of general public at their door steps.

Talking to a delegation of local bodies’ representatives in Peshawar today, he said the government is well aware of the issues being faced by the local governments and all possible steps will be taken to address those issues.

Syed Arshad Hussain Shah said that after getting the permission of the Election Commission, an Ordinance will be passed for the necessary amendments in the Law of Local Governments.

He said that as the financial condition of the province gets improved, more funds would be released for the non-developmental expenditures of local bodies in the province.
