Punjab Sports Minister Rai Taimoor Khan Bhatti has said that Pakistan is a safe country for holding international sports events.

Talking to media, he said several international cricket stars have played PSL matches in Pakistan in the past and cricket bilateral series clearly depict that Pakistan can now be considered as a safe place for the international events to be played here.

He said the ongoing Hockey Series in Lahore is another big step towards paving the way for more international events in Pakistan.

He said the game of hockey will flourish with the holding of 5-nation international hockey tournament and the event will also bring improvement in the game of our players.
