Pakistan and Qatar have decided to further strengthen mutual cooperation and partnership in the field of internal security.

This understanding was reached during a meeting between Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi and his Qatari counterpart, Sheikh Khalifa bin Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, in Doha.

During the meeting, the two sides held detailed discussions on enhancing bilateral cooperation in areas related to internal security.

The meeting also covered the prevailing regional situation and matters concerning regional peace and stability.

Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi said Pakistan and Qatar are working together to promote regional peace and stability.

The Qatari interior minister said his country attaches great importance to its relations with Pakistan.
