The Organization of Islamic Cooperation has adopted a resolution demanding a final settlement of the Jammu and Kashmir dispute in accordance with the relevant United Nations resolutions.

The resolution was adopted at the 52nd session of the OIC Council of Foreign Ministers in Baghdad.

The OIC reiterated its call on the international community to ensure the implementation of UN resolutions on Jammu and Kashmir.

The OIC session also reaffirmed support for the oppressed people of Palestine and their right to statehood.

Meanwhile, the All Parties Hurriyat Conference has welcomed the OIC resolution regarding Jammu and Kashmir at the 52nd session of the OIC Council of Foreign Ministers in Baghdad.

In a statement, the APHC spokesperson urged Muslim nations to exert pressure on India to pave the way for resolution of the Kashmir dispute through dialogue.
