The United States and France will discuss their diplomatic standoff triggered after Australia cancelled a submarine deal with France in favor of a new security alliance with the United States and Britain.  

A French government spokesman confirmed that US President Joe Biden had asked for early talks with President Emmanuel Macon which will be held in next few days.                                                           

Angered by the new security alliance between US, Britain and Australia, France recalled its ambassadors from Washington and Canberra.
