Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar has stressed the importance of effective follow-up on commitments and conventions under the GSP+ framework.

He was chairing the 7th meeting on strengthening trade and economic engagement with friendly countries, particularly with the European Union, in Islamabad today.

The meeting discussed ways to accelerate trade and economic partnerships with friendly countries, including improving market access, export performance and coordination among relevant stakeholders.

Ishaq Dar directed all concerned to accord priority to enhancing Pakistan's trade and export performance, ensuring timely implementation of agreed measures and strengthening coordination to maximise market access and economic opportunities for Pakistan
