Pakistan’s blockbuster film “The Legend of Maula Jatt” will be officially released in cinemas across China tomorrow [Thursday], marking a significant milestone for Pakistan’s film industry.
Speaking at a grand premiere ceremony in Beijing, Pakistan’s Ambassador to China, Khalil Hashmi, said the film will introduce Chinese audiences to unique style of Pakistani cinema, its vibrant colours, and rich cultural heritage.
He said the release of film will further strengthen cultural ties between the two countries.
The release in China has been made possible under a film co-production agreement signed in June 2024 between the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Pakistan and the China Film Administration.
The agreement aims to promote joint film productions and creative collaboration between filmmakers of Pakistan and China.
