May 20, 2026

A special interactive session was held in Rawalpindi featuring Director General Inter-Services Public Relations Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, Vice Chancellors and senior faculty members from universities across the country.

The session was a part of the National Security and Strategic Leadership Workshop 2026. Over 200 Vice Chancellors, Deans, Registrars and senior teachers from universities across the country attended the session. Participants from Lahore, Karachi, Peshawar, Muzaffarabad, Multan and Quetta also joined the event online.

During the engagement, the DG ISPR shed light on important issues related to Pakistan's internal security environment, particularly focusing on emerging strategic and security challenges.

The participants of the workshop said the Armed Forces of Pakistan played a remarkable role in safeguarding national defence, stability, and security. They said Pakistan emerged victorious during Marka-e-Haq owing to the role of the armed forces. They also expressed full confidence in the strength of the country's defence institutions.

The participants observed that people in Azad Jammu and Kashmir as well as Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir hold the Pakistan Army in high esteem.

They also said the session provided valuable guidance on protecting students from fake propaganda and promoting factual and responsible information.

Members of academia termed the interaction a timely initiative, saying it enhanced awareness about national security, information warfare, and contemporary challenges facing the country.
