
A delegation of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement called on Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif in Islamabad today and presented party's proposals regarding upcoming Federal Budget.
The delegation was led by Federal Minister for Education and MQM Convener Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui and comprised Members of the National Assembly Farooq Sattar, Syed Amin-ul-Haque, and Muhammad Jawed Hanif Khan.
During the meeting, detailed discussions were held on public welfare and development projects being carried out in Sindh and Karachi under the Federal Government.
The meeting also discussed the overall political situation in the country.
Speaking on the occasion, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said that MQM is an important coalition partner of the Federal Government and has consistently supported all initiatives aimed at public welfare.
He directed the relevant authorities to review MQM's budget proposals and formulate a feasible and comprehensive plan for consideration.
Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar and Adviser to the Prime Minister Rana Sanaullah also attended the meeting.
