US President Donald Trump says Russia and Ukraine will start ceasefire talks to reach a truce.

This he said after a telephonic conversation with his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin.

During the call, Putin conformed that Moscow was ready to work with Ukraine on a memorandum about a future peace accord.
