Benazir Income Support Program has distributed more than 66 billion rupees among the flood affected families in the country under the Prime Minister's emergency cash relief program.

In a statement on Wednesday, Minister for Poverty Alleviation and social safety Shazia Marri said transparency of distribution process is being ensured and five thousand more families were given the cash assistance today.

She said more than 2.6 million families have been given the cash assistance of 25000 rupees each.
