The Command and Staff Conference of Pakistan Navy was held in Islamabad today with Chief of Naval Staff Admiral Naveed Ashraf in the chair.

The forum deliberated extensively on the evolving maritime security landscape from traditional and non-traditional threats to volatility at strategic choke points and risks to freedom of navigation and vital Sea Lines of Communication (SLOCs).

The Chief of the Naval Staff commended Pakistan Navy's operational readiness and enhanced capacity to undertake all challenging missions.

He underscored the need for effective training, tactical discipline and joint coordination to ensure robust maritime defence.

He also stressed that asymmetric capabilities and advanced technologies are essential to retain a tactical edge against emerging threats.
