China and the United States have agreed to encourage more people-to-people, educational exchanges, and increasing passenger flights between the two countries.

This was announced by Chinese Foreign Ministry in a statement after Chinese State Councilor and Foreign Minister Qin Gang held talks with U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken in Beijing.

Both sides also agreed to jointly implement the important common understandings reached by the two presidents in Bali, effectively manage differences, and advance dialogue, exchanges and cooperation.

Both sides also decided to continue advancing consultations through the joint working group to address specific issues in the relations.

US Secretary of State will meet today (Monday) with China's top diplomat Wang Yi and President Xi to reopen durable communication channels.
