President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif have paid tribute to security forces for killing twenty-two Fitnah al-Khawarij terrorists in an operation conducted in the Shewa area of North Waziristan.

In their separate statements, they commended security forces for conducting a successful operation and said that the armed forces are achieving significant successes in the war against terrorism under the vision of Azm-e-Istehkam.

The President said that using the local population as human shields is evidence of the cruelty and inhumanity of Fitnah al-Khawarij.

The Prime Minister said that the security forces stand like a wall of steel against terrorism and that the government is determined to completely eradicate all forms and manifestations of terrorism from the country.
