The death anniversary of painter artist Eqbal Mehdi was observed on Tuesday. 

Eqbal Mehdi’s enormous body of work includes portraits, horses, Moorish street scenes, and landscapes.

He was the recipient of the President’s Award for Pride of Performance.

Eqbal Mehdi died on this day in 2008.
