The Green Pakistan Initiative (GPI) has launched a revolutionary project aimed at converting millions of acres of barren land into fertile, cultivable land across the country.

The project is playing a key role in promoting agricultural self-sufficiency, sustainable development, and food security across the nation.

Pakistanis living abroad are also actively participating in the initiative, contributing to the country's agricultural development.

Chief Executive Officer of Yellow Green Farm, Ghulam Mustafa who is specially playing a noteworthy role in this regard, described the long-term agricultural project as a unique and sustainable opportunity. He said that such initiatives are rarely available even on private land.

Meanwhile, local farmer Muhammad Abdullah Liaqat said under GPI, seventeen thousand acres of land has been brought under cultivation, expanding agricultural output and creating employment opportunities at the local level.

He said modern agricultural facilities, including agri-malls offering seeds, fertilizers, and pesticides, are now available at a single location, simplifying farming operations.

President of the Farmers' Union Khalid Mahmood Khokhar, stated that GPI has become a critical project in light of the country's growing population. He said the initiative encourages traditional farmers to adopt modern agricultural machinery and techniques, helping them transition to more efficient farming practices.

He said drip irrigation, pivot, and sprinkler systems are also being employed to ensure effective water usage and further enhance sustainability.
