United Arab Emirate and Israel today (Thursday) signed an agreement to jointly design unmanned military and commercial vessels.

According to a joint statement, the 17-M Unmanned Surface Vessels would be designed to carrying out security operations, mine sweeping and surveillance, among other capabilities.

The statement further said that comprising advanced sensors, sonars and imaging systems that are integrated into a unified command and control system, the Unmanned Surface Vessel can operate either remotely, semi-autonomously or autonomously, requiring no human intervention.
