Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, Prince William and Princess Kate Middleton spent a busy day during their visit to Lahore today.
Upon their arrival at Lahore Airport, Punjab Governor, Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar, Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar and other high dignitaries accorded a warm welcome to them.
The Royal Couple held meetings with Governor Punjab and Chief Minister and exchanged views to strengthen relations between Pakistan and Britain.
They also visited SOS Village in Lahore where administration of the organization briefed them about various aspects of the Village.
The Royal couple also visited National Cricket Academy, where they played cricket.
The visiting dignitaries Duke and Duchess of Cambridge Prince William and Kate Middleton also visited the historical Badshahi Mosque.
They went around to the various portions of the mosque and admired the Mughal architecture.
The Imam of the Mosque, Maulana Abdul Khabeer Azad briefed them about the various aspects of the mosque.
They also visited the Lahore Royal Fort and saw the Mughal architecture.
The Royal couple also visited the Shaukat Khanam Memorial Cancer Hospital. They went to the various sections of the hospital and observed the provision of latest facilities for the treatment of the cancer patients.
On this occasion, they were also briefed about the functioning of the hospital by the concerned authorities.
Later, Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, Prince William and Princess Kate Middleton left Lahore for Islamabad amid tight security. However, the special carrying the Royal Couple landed again on Lahore Airport due to bad weather in Islamabad.
