Security forces have thwarted a major terrorist attempt through a timely operation in Wana.

According to details, an explosive laden vehicle was destroyed by security forces in Wana, Lower South Waziristan before it could be used in a suicide attack.

Security sources said explosives loaded in the vehicle were intended for use in a major terrorist attack. During the operation, security forces demonstrated exceptional professionalism, ensuring the protection of innocent civilians' lives and property.

Security sources said that the security forces kept the suicide vehicle under continuous surveillance for three days and targeted it only after it had moved away from populated area.

In the successful operation, the explosives-laden vehicle and a motorcycle were destroyed while one khariji was killed and five others were injured.
