Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has strongly condemned attack on a polio vaccination team in Salarzai area of Bajaur District, which resulted in martyrdom of two police officials deployed for security.

In a statement, the Prime Minister offered prayers for martyred police officials, Qadir and Aziz, and expressed heartfelt condolences to bereaved families.

He reaffirmed that the government will continue the nationwide polio eradication campaign with full vigor.

The Prime Minister acknowledged the sacrifices of law enforcement personnel and citizens in the fight against terrorism and reiterated the government’s resolute commitment to eliminating this menace from the country.

Shehbaz Sharif also directed that a prompt inquiry be conducted to identify those responsible for the attack and ensure that the perpetrators are brought to justice.
