
Minister of State for Interior Talal Chaudhry has said that no fresh recruitment for Islamabad prison staff is on the cards.
Responding to a question during the Question Hour in the National Assembly today, he said that the services of personnel from Punjab Police, Islamabad Police, and the Capital Development Authority will be hired to run the affairs of the newly-constructed Islamabad prison.
In his remarks, Minister for Parliamentary Affairs Dr. Tariq Fazal Chaudhry rejected reports of forced deportation of Pakistanis from the UAE and other Gulf countries.
He said the government has no data indicating the forced deportation of Pakistani nationals from the UAE or any other Gulf country.
The Minister said these reports are baseless and are merely based on social media posts.
He said the Ministry of Overseas Pakistanis has taken a number of initiatives to safeguard the rights and welfare of overseas Pakistanis.
Responding to another question, Dr. Tariq Fazal Chaudhry said the government has taken a series of institutional, legal, and administrative measures to address encroachments, land grabbing, and other property-related grievances of overseas Pakistanis.
Replying to a call attention notice, Parliamentary Secretary for Power Aamir Talal Khan said the share of renewable energy in the country’s energy mix will reach 70 percent by 2030.
He said the renewable energy target set for last year has been successfully achieved.
Responding to another calling attention notice, Parliamentary Secretary for Health Nelson Azeem said check-up and diagnostic facilities are being provided to patients at government hospitals in the federal capital.
