Germany has announced a plan to reopen its economy and schools without triggering a new wave of infections.

Health Minister Jens Spahn during a media talk declared that the outbreak is under control and said select small shops will be allowed to reopen from Monday and some children would return to school within weeks.

Meanwhile, Switzerland, Denmark and Finland are among those gradually re-opening shops and schools, and even in hard-hit Italy, people began emerging from lockdown.
