
Petroleum dealers and pump associations have assured their full cooperation for the government's fuel relief scheme.
The assurance was given by the petroleum dealers and pump associations during a successful meeting held in Islamabad today under the chairmanship of Minister for Petroleum, Ali Pervaiz Malik.
During the meeting, the Minister appreciated the dealers' support and emphasized that close coordination among all stakeholders is vital for the effective, transparent, and timely implementation of the initiative.
Ali Pervaiz Malik said that funds for three months have been allocated for the fuel relief scheme, with twenty-five billion rupees already released to the State Bank of Pakistan for the first month.
A briefing was also given to the petroleum dealers regarding implementation procedures and key aspects of the scheme.
The State Bank of Pakistan assured dealers that all claims under the scheme will be processed within forty-eight hours to ensure timely reimbursement.
The Ministry of IT has also established a special control room to assist petrol pumps and resolve any grievances. It was told that petrol pumps can contact 9772 for assistance regarding the fuel relief scheme.
The petroleum dealers termed the Prime Minister's fuel relief scheme a significant step toward providing relief to the public.
